These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Canvas Arts website and educational services. By accessing our website or enrolling in our graphic design courses, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Canvas Arts operates as an educational institution providing graphic design training in Cyprus. These terms establish the legal framework for our relationship with students, website visitors, and service users.
Please read these terms carefully before using our services. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our website or enroll in our courses.
1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply:
- "Canvas Arts", "we", "us", "our" refers to Canvas Arts, a graphic design education provider operating in Cyprus.
- "Student", "you", "your" means any person enrolled in our courses or using our educational services.
- "User" means any person accessing our website or digital platforms.
- "Services" refers to all graphic design courses, training programs, and educational services provided by Canvas Arts.
- "Website" means our official website and any associated digital platforms or learning management systems.
- "Content" includes all text, images, videos, course materials, and intellectual property provided through our services.
- "Course" refers to any structured educational program offered by Canvas Arts, including fundamentals, brand identity, and advanced creative direction training.
- "Certification" means the official credentials issued upon successful completion of course requirements.
2. Educational Services
2.1 Course Enrollment
Students must be at least 18 years old to enroll in Canvas Arts courses. Enrollment is subject to course availability and prerequisite requirements.
All students must provide accurate personal information during enrollment. False information may result in course termination without refund.
Course placement is determined by assessment of prior experience and completion of prerequisite courses where applicable.
2.2 Course Delivery
Canvas Arts provides graphic design education through in-person instruction, online components, and hybrid learning formats.
Course schedules, duration, and delivery methods are subject to change based on educational requirements and circumstances beyond our control.
Students are responsible for attending scheduled sessions and participating actively in course activities.
Course materials, including software access and learning resources, are provided for educational use during enrollment period.
2.3 Academic Requirements
Students must complete all required assignments, projects, and assessments to receive certification.
Regular attendance and active participation are mandatory for course completion.
Portfolio development and presentation are integral components of the educational process.
Students must maintain professional conduct and respect intellectual property rights throughout their studies.
3. User Responsibilities and Conduct
3.1 Acceptable Use
Users must use our website and services for lawful educational purposes only.
Students are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of their account credentials and course materials.
Sharing of course content, materials, or access credentials with unauthorized persons is strictly prohibited.
Users must respect the intellectual property rights of Canvas Arts, instructors, and fellow students.
3.2 Prohibited Activities
Users may not engage in any of the following activities:
- Violating any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringing on intellectual property rights of others
- Transmitting harmful, threatening, or offensive content

3.3 Professional Standards

Ethical conduct in design practice, including proper attribution and copyright compliance, is mandatory.
4. Payment Terms and Fees
4.1 Course Fees
Course fees are clearly stated during enrollment and include all required educational materials and software access.
Payment is due according to the schedule agreed upon during enrollment, with options for full payment or installment plans.
Additional costs may apply for optional services such as individual tutoring, extended facility access, or specialized workshops.
4.2 Refund Policy
Refunds are available within 14 days of course commencement, subject to completion of required paperwork.
After the 14-day period, refunds are only provided in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of Canvas Arts management.
Students who withdraw due to medical or family emergencies may be eligible for partial refunds or course transfers.
Processing fees and non-refundable deposits may apply as outlined in the enrollment agreement.
4.3 Payment Methods
We accept major credit cards, bank transfers, and approved payment plans for course fees.
All payments must be made in Euros (€) unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Late payment fees may apply to overdue installments as specified in individual payment agreements.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
5.1 Canvas Arts Content
All course materials, curricula, teaching methods, and educational content remain the exclusive property of Canvas Arts.
Students receive a limited, non-transferable license to use course materials for personal educational purposes during enrollment.
Reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of our educational content is strictly prohibited without written consent.
Our trademark, logo, and brand elements may not be used without explicit permission.
5.2 Student Work
Students retain ownership of original creative work produced during courses, subject to proper attribution requirements.
Canvas Arts may showcase student work for promotional and educational purposes with appropriate credit and consent.
Students grant Canvas Arts non-exclusive rights to use portfolio pieces for marketing, educational demonstrations, and institutional promotion.
Third-party materials used in student projects must comply with copyright and licensing requirements.
5.3 Third-Party Content
Course instruction may include reference to third-party software, tools, and creative resources governed by separate licenses.
Students are responsible for understanding and complying with licensing terms for all software and resources used.
Canvas Arts provides guidance on ethical use of third-party materials but does not assume liability for student misuse.
6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
6.1 Educational Outcomes
Canvas Arts provides quality education and training but cannot provide specific career outcomes or employment placements.
Student success depends on individual effort, talent, dedication, and market conditions beyond our control.
We provide tools, knowledge, and guidance; professional success requires continued learning and personal development.
Industry changes and technological developments may affect the relevance of specific skills taught in our courses.
6.2 Service Availability
Educational services are provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted availability or error-free delivery.
Course schedules may be modified due to instructor availability, facility requirements, or unforeseen circumstances.
Technology platforms and online resources may experience occasional downtime for maintenance or technical issues.
We strive to minimize disruptions but cannot accept liability for temporary service interruptions.
6.3 Liability Limitations
Our total liability for any claims arising from our services is limited to the fees paid for the specific course in question.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages including lost profits or business opportunities.
Students assume responsibility for their own equipment, personal property, and creative work during course participation.
Time limitations apply to all claims, which must be brought within one year of the incident giving rise to the claim.
7. Termination
7.1 Student-Initiated Termination
Students may withdraw from courses by providing written notice to Canvas Arts administration.
Refund eligibility depends on timing of withdrawal and completion of required coursework as outlined in Section 4.2.
Students remain responsible for any outstanding fees incurred prior to formal withdrawal.
7.2 Institution-Initiated Termination
Canvas Arts reserves the right to terminate enrollment for violations of these terms, academic misconduct, or disruptive behavior.
Immediate termination may occur for serious violations including harassment, fraud, or illegal activities.
Students terminated for cause forfeit all fees paid and lose access to course materials and certifications.
Academic termination due to non-participation or failure to meet requirements may result in partial fee retention.
7.3 Effects of Termination
Upon termination, students lose access to course materials, online platforms, and Canvas Arts facilities.
Completed coursework and partial credits may be preserved at Canvas Arts' discretion for future re-enrollment.
Confidentiality obligations and intellectual property restrictions continue after termination.
8. Dispute Resolution
8.1 Informal Resolution
We encourage students to address concerns directly with instructors or Canvas Arts administration before formal proceedings.
Most issues can be resolved through open communication and collaborative problem-solving.
Students may request meetings with academic coordinators or management to discuss concerns or complaints.
8.2 Formal Complaints
Written complaints should be submitted to Canvas Arts management with detailed descriptions of the issue and desired resolution.
We will investigate all formal complaints thoroughly and respond within 30 days of receipt.
Students may appeal administrative decisions through our established academic appeal process.
8.3 Legal Proceedings
These terms are governed by Cyprus law and any disputes will be resolved in Cyprus courts.
Where possible, parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing litigation.
Class action lawsuits are waived in favor of individual dispute resolution procedures.
9. General Provisions
9.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and course-specific enrollment agreements, constitute the complete agreement between students and Canvas Arts.
Any modifications must be made in writing and signed by authorized Canvas Arts representatives.
9.2 Severability
If any provision of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
Invalid provisions will be replaced with enforceable terms that achieve similar objectives.
9.3 Modifications
Canvas Arts reserves the right to update these terms periodically to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements.
Students will be notified of material changes and continued use constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
Current students are governed by the terms in effect at the time of their enrollment unless otherwise agreed.
